:CHAITRAS BLOG: Yes, we are still fighting!

  • :BLOG: "The year 2020 has been very special to me. It has been more challenging than ever! In terms of the number of failures, rejections from Ph.D. applications, lesson that I’ve learned, the joys of getting ahead one project at a time, realizing the worth of every second of an hour, and when I look back to what I have overcome so far has definitely made me a stronger woman than I could ever believe."

:CHAITRAS BLOG: My quarantine in Oslo

  • :BLOG: Having been working from home since the 13th of March, the fears of this outbreak, coupled with quarantine, got under the skin. The first week of self-isolation changed my sleeping and eating patterns. Luckily, in February, I borrowed ten books from my fav library in town as I had to commute every day, and I enjoyed reading while being on the train. I am privileged because I was well informed about the situation via reliable sources at the right time.

:CHAITRAS BLOG: Living a Hygiene Life

  • :BLOG: “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself” - is not a quote by my favorite philosopher but a mild threat from my elder sister. I was in my sixth grade when my sister lends me a hand with my school work, and I quite did not agree with her work not to forget a favor! Looking at my disappointment, my sister pulled off this great quote back then, which I recreated in my memory to date before I look for an extra hand. :CHAITRAS BLOG: My role as a Digital Content Creator

:BLOG: Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think about pursuing a career as a digital content creator. Not ten years back when I decided to take up five years of Science and indulged myself in the world of quantum physics for three years. But well, here I am creating content, and this is something that comes out as a skill after the right amount of hours of practice. The secret to achieving your goal is to enjoy the process of learning something new and practising every day to get better at it.

:CHAITRAS BLOG: 17. May

  • Every country celebrates its national day but probably a very few likely to celebrate the day so enthusiastically as Norwegians do. Like every other year, 17. mai (17th May)  is a spring celebration with a festive mood throughout the country, especially in the capital of Oslo. Despite the current situation, we all did enjoy this day thoroughly, like every year with laughter, music, dance, and with love.

:CHAITRAS BLOG: On the Table

  • :BLOG: Going back to the first week of April when the Pandemic restricted everyone to stay home was the most challenging days of this quarantine times. I followed it like everyone else as it was really necessary to flatten the curve. To someone who is workaholic, this lockdown gave so much time in hand yet the days passed in panic questioning uncertainty and getting overwhelmed with new information. I was one of them, who got very anxious about isolating oneself and wondering what am gonna do now?

:CHAITRAS BLOG: Skin Color

  • :BLOG: I often come across articles online like ´Is skin colour bias distinct from racial bias?´ and ´Racial prejudice and racial stereotypes go hand in hand. I read and understand how people see the concept of skin colour and classify someone on the basis of their colour tone. I would not deny the fact of a number of times I felt insecure in my own skin.

:CHAITRAS BLOG: New Norm

  • :BLOG: In collab with @enrichyour_mind, I documented the "new norm" of this Pandemic life, which you all might relate to some extent. As the project demanded to show two contrasting daily routines of our lives during the pandemic times. In the video below, you will see some days where I am super productive and some days where I find no motivation to move or cook. The motto behind is to remind oneself not to be hard when you feel unproductive, take a break when you are less motivated.
